Set of 3 Kaisa Square Shallow Baskets

Each Set of Baskets have been ethically produced by small community groups in Bangladesh using sustainable locally sourced Kaisa grass which is woven with split palm leaves.

Kaisa grows during the monsoon season on the banks of rivers reaching 2-3 feet high when mature. When the grass is harvested the roots are left intact so they rejuvenate for the next season. The grass is then thoroughly dried in the sun and a stockpile is maintained for use throughout the year.
